Deserves a start for me. He's looked well fired up when he's come on these last few games and really given the opposition defence something to think about. I'd be tempted to play him ahead of Macken.

Put in two fantastic crosses that bounced on the 6 yard line with nobody near them. Worked hard again and is impressing me. Once or twice he took too long with the ball at his feet, but I agree, I'd start him ahead of Macken against West Ham/Southampton.

    Macken been poor..

for last few games, Rigters did more in the 20 mins he was on than Macken did all game.

I think so too - also seems to read the game better than Macken for me

If he had started instead of Jon "1 pace" Macken we would have won today. Same old stuff from Macken, odd decent bit of control but never looked like scoring or doing anything in there box.

He has looked up for it for the last few games. Macken looks anything but at the moment. Needs a start.

I don't rate Leon at all

And if he keeps going into aerial challenges with his elbows flailing like he did today then at best he'll be sent off and at worst he'll do someone the same kind of damage that Morgan did to Hume.

    Leon...

doesn't have the power in his body to injure a toddler, let alone fracture someone's skull. Even if he wanted to hurt someone like Morgan did, I'm sure he doesn't have the power in his arm to actually do it. The way he jumps is certainly suspect though.

    Macken.......

seems incapable of playing for 90 minutes, which isn't a good sign.

Why give someone a start because he`s looked up for it for 2 games.

He`s had many chances and hasn`t put a shift in.

And he runs like a girl and i`m not talking Flo Jo.

Notice when he goes up for a Header he jumps at the man not the ball. Good job he's not 16 stone and 6ft 3 inches :D :D :D

Pick players on current form. If Macken isn't playing well and Rigters is doing his bit to earn a place then he should get a chance. I would start him in the cup game.

Coulson would be my choice for cup game seeing though he kick started last years cup run then missed it through injury.

He also has scored for reserves since comeback so must be in some kind of form.

He did put in 2 good crosses but someone else should be doing that so he is on the end of them to score. I think he should start now instead of Macken.

How can a striker who hasn't looked like scoring start above our top scorer?

The only place Rigters should be is Blackburn

i think rigters has done plenty in the past two games i've seen to justify starting. he is desperate for a goal, you can see it. i think if he gets a chance to start he'll do well.

we can all see he has the right attitude, and he looks fast, strong and powerful. it can't hurt to try him!
