It's gathering pace online, this idea. Brilliant idea at that. I've asked Mr Cryne and he agrees, but Norm is a little frail these days, so let's see. Lump in throat moment though eh? #YouReds
If he's abit uneasy on his feet then have his grandchildren link his arms and go out with him like on the Oakwell pitch for his 80th. Absolute brilliant idea for Mr Barnsley to have that moment. Hope it happens.
I'm hoping it'll happen. But can folk please appreciate that Rimmo is very frail now, and that if it didn't happen, this isn't because the club are horrid? Fingers crossed he's well enough to do it.
Barry Murphy could assist him even if he had to use a chair that would be brilliant for two great servants of the club imo
100%. Hope it doesn't come across as derogatory or in any way that could offend.... Let him lead them out on a mobility scooter if needs be or possible... It's a great gesture for a bloke who has bfc through his veins
Saw him at Oakwell last week. He just lights the place up. What a moment that would be. Let's make this happen for Rimmo Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
If Rimmo leads us out there will not be a dry eye in one half of Wembley. The word Legend is often overused but Norman Rimmington is a Legend and a gentleman. Loyalty eh, just ask Norman.
Would be a tremendous way to start the official proceedings wouldn't it....agree re Barry M as well, was he on the pitch before the Fleetwood first leg game?
What a superb idea. A true legend deserving of such a great honour. Sincerely hope it can be arranged.
This would be a phenomenal gesture and would make me proud of our club. There are so many things wrong in football these days but this for me would show that there is a place for loyalty and respect which this game often forgets. Please make this happen.
i dont think there would be a dry eye in barnsley end if it happened . also be great to see young alfie as our mascot too
I cannot think of a more deserving gesture ever for such a stalwart, nay stalwart is not the right word.......... LEGEND - I used to use the word about Glavin but I used it glibly about Glavin - the circumstances seem perfect for Norman - it would be an ideal gesture - says more than words can ever - it also says loads about Barnsley, the town, the club, and the fans. Please make it happen.
