    Great boxer. Remember watching the fight with Marvellous Marvin and hoping he'd win, only to be massively disappointed when Hagler destroyed him. RIP.

    Remember many years ago,met him on holiday at a caravan site on the Isle of White.His car was stuck in the mud next to his caravan and I helped him to get it out.Saw him in the club that night and we had a real bender and also a couple of nights later.Proper gent he was no airs and graces.RIP Alan

    I don't think it's quite fair to say Hagler destroyed him, Minter was one of the worst cutters in the game and the fight was stopped on a cut in the third round.

    He was nicked at the end of the first, caught a clash of heads in the second and had the first round cut caught again early in the third for an instant stoppage.
