For those who don't know Cat Janice is a singer/songwriter from America who, while receiving palliative care for terminal cancer, transferred the rights to her latest song to her young son so that he would receive money once she was gone. That song came out last month and was a hit on tiktok. Sadly she passed away today.

Give it a listen and if you like it get it streamed on one of your streaming services

I was reading the other day about how much the rights holder makes from streaming services like Spotify. Seems it takes an awful lot of streams to make sizeable amounts. It's apparently between $0.003 and $0.005 per stream. Which means every 100,000 streams earns the rights owner about 400 quid.
