Hi guys the sad news thats filtered through is that the bigman himself has passed away. Dave Arnold fom the barnsley foreign legion better known to a lot of us as potty the guy who streamed our games . Condolences can be left on the facebookpage barnsleys foreign legion pageHas a matter of respect to dave i dont suppose we could get a campain going for a minutes round of applause directly after we kick off for the second half. unfortunately i wont be at the game saturday due to the fact im getting married for those who didnt know dave he was a lovely character full of fun and loved barnsleyfc to bits. He was living in the states , he brought a lot of red fans together with his streaming, the banter we all had on a match day was just like being on the ponty its self. whilst i admit it wasnt legal it made a lot of us expats ( i was in portugal) feel we where back home for match days The great felal and his mushy pea pizzas the staple food of all legionaires...lol will be sadly missed so come on guys join me in your condolences and get the campain for a mintues applause going for saturday thanks shed 131 bryan
I used to listen to his streams all the time before I finally subscribed to player, shame to hear RIP
Very sad news indeed. I read the news on Facebook earlier and it kind of ruined an otherwise good day. I only knew Potty from Facebook, the Time2Talk forum and the various streaming sites, but he always seemed like a friendly character with a good sense of humour. It's been a pleasure listening to our games with other "legionnaires", but it won't be the same without Potty around. RIP my fellow legionnaire Potty, thanks for everything, and my condolences to your family & friends.
I grew up with him, well for the first 10/11 years anyway, a great kid and daft as a brush. Some of his post on the streams were brilliant, his spelling was fantastic ! RIP Dave lad.
thanks fella, though I didn't interact with you much I sensed that there was a bit of quirky tarn lad art thear... well done, mate...
RIP potty top geezer, listened to the commentary on his website loads of times, from Wales. Always worked a treat. Will be sawly missed
R.i.p. Potty thanks for the streams I will miss you and my Saturday afternoons will not be the same. Condolences to your family and thanks again.
