For the slightly younger BBS readers he was a star in a program called On the Busses many years ago - amongst other things Died peacefully this afternoon

Classic films, especially "Holiday on the Buses"...
Didn't realise he was 92 !!!!!

That's sad, but hell i didn't know he was 92, i used to love on the buses specially Olive.... May he rest in peace....
Yuo wouldn't have thought that he was twenty years older than Stephen Lewis (Blakey) when it was on, he was about 50 when it was being made, playing a 35 year oldish bloke,
RE: Yuo wouldn't have thought ....and his mate Arthur must have been about 78ish playing a 63rd year old bloke .....'Cor blimey Stan, look at those melons'
RIP... They even show(ed) "On the Buses" here in Finland, and even if I wasn't a regular watcher and wouldn't have even known who Reg Varney is, he was obviously a very funny man, so rest in peace Mr Varney. (RIP)
When i first saw the thread title i thought it was a BBS'er because i swear there is someone on here with that as their Username
