Signed by Johnnie Steele in 1966. When I first started watching the Reds.

    RIP Roger Barton.

He went first to the Wolves academy at Wath, but never played a first team game at Molyneux. I saw him play first on the right wing for Lincoln City, in which position he looked lively and a skilful performer. He then came on to us and settled in the creative midfield role, mainly in the number ten shirt. He was part of the team which was promoted in 1967-68.

Enjoyed that team and watching Roger play. Condolences to the family. Seems too soon. RIP young 'un!
