I was blessed with the good fortune to see the Cambridge Footlights show which included Slattery, Stephen Fry, Hugh Lawrie and Emma Thompson in 1982. Very funny guy. 65 is no age. I'm 60 in a few weeks & hoping not to check out my chips any time soon.
I knew he'd had a few (a lot) problems but didn't expect to see this. As has been posted above, I used to prefer Whose Line with him on it, it was always funny! RIP
