Just glad I got to see the great man perform live, a really tight three piece with Norman Watt-Roy and Dylan Howe.
A real shock … what a presence he had when performing. One regret is that I never saw the original Feelgood live. Everybody do the Feelgood smile as a tribute
A unique guitarist, will be sadly missed. Gone to the land of milk and alcohol... Edit; he'd left before that song was recorded, many apologies.
Very Sad news but he got a few more years than we thought he would at one time. Only saw him once at Liverpool Empire in the Early '80's in the days when Students could afford to see decent rock acts, and it was fairly memorable. I can still picture him running around the stage like a madman. Shame I never saw him again. RIP Wilko
Oh no no no ....... I know it was coming but this is incredibly sad news. When you've grown up with these guys in your head it still hurts to know a legend has gone. Saw the Feelgoods about 1974/5 at Essex Uni and then at Sheffield city hall later. Then saw Wilko at Sheffield uni with his own group. He couldn't sing but boy oh boy could he play the guitar. Sleep tight fella !
Totally unique & an extraordinary character. Made a couple of recent things with my pals, Urban Voodoo Machine.. Important bloke in British music.
You're Going Back Home Wilko, my favourite ever guitar player to watch live by a million miles ... no one even close ... electrifiying. Fkn great racket you made fella xxx
