    Cut-off Point: 47 points!
It's a big game on Saturday for Barnsley and a win should see them six points clear of the relegation zone.

A couple of weeks ago Barnsley One looked at who would fall below the line at the end of the season. Norwich City seem to be following the script and the bookies also reckon that the Canaries, along with Southampton and Charlton, will all be playing League One football next season.

Looking at the remaining fixtures I expect Norwich City to finish in 22nd place with 46 points, so for the teams directly above them 47 points must be the target for survival.

For Barnsley that is a target of four wins in the next 15 games and the first one will surely come tomorrow as the Reds look to record a third straight victory over Charlton.

Doncaster Rovers, currently the Championships form team, have done a superb job over the last nine games. So much so that they are a couple of wins and a draw away from probable safety, something most would not have thought a couple of months ago.

The table below shows the teams in the relegation dogfight, but I think the current bottom three will still be there on the last day of the season.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pos Club Played Points Games to Play Home Games Games Between
    Each Other
    15 Doncaster Rovers 32 40 14 7 3
    16 Derby County 31 38 15 7 4
    17 Blackpool 33 38 13 7 5
    18 Barnsley 31 35 15 8 5
    19 Plymouth Argyle 33 35 13 7 5
    20 Nottingham Forest 33 34 13 7 5
    21 Watford 31 33 15 7 7
    22 Norwich City 33 32 13 7 3

interesting thing to note is Norwich only play 3 games against teams around them, so must be playing mainly top teams between now and May. 4-6 points in the enxt 8 days will do very nicely. (Y)

Charlton, Forest and Southampton for me

50 points should be the absolute minimum for us to get.

8 home games - 4 wins and at one draw would be reasonable although I'd like more. Get a win and a draw (at least) on the road will see us on 53. Ideally a c ouple of away wins and a draw gives us 56 - which is exactly the target Davey is after, an improvement on last year. We got 55 last season yeah?
