Conlon's last match for us was the 0-3 defeat by Bristol

the next match saw us go on a still unbeaten run in the league plus an FA Cup winthe only blip was the LDV

Devaney scored in the same match for the first time and has gone from strength to strength

methinks Ritchie has an eye for who is and isn't a good player

I think you'll find that Devaney was not immediately liked by many-however the"poor man's David Ginola"-yorkshire post-was outstanding last week-let's hope it wasn't a flash in the pan

  5. Well, I saw Devaney playing for Cheltenham as they came up from non league..

....and he always looked like nothing more than an average, lower league at best, winger. I think he has something different to offer now though, now that he is playing with a far better standard of player. I'll be really pleased for him if he keeps it up and turns into a regular performer in a promotion winning team. Whether or not he could do it next season in the Championship is another matter. But let's just get there first :)

    I think....

...that Devaney struggled initially due to him moving away from home, bringing his family up/being apart from them etc. Richie knew this and is now seeing the Devaney he knew he had.

Conlon on the other hand was always just an average player who wasn't going to get any better.

We were shocking at Bristol...good job we did get Devaney playing well!
