<span>REDS boss Andy Ritchie has spoken of his delight after seeing homegrown stars Antony Kay and Neil Austin commit to his side's Championship campaign.</span></p> </p> <span>Speaking exclusively to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk, Andy said: "It is great news that Antony and Neil have signed on and that really gives us a firm bases to build on this summer. It is brilliant that they have agreed to stay.</span></p> <span>"We can now look at tinkering with a few things a little further forward and will be hoping to strengthen in midfield, out wide and up front before the season starts.</span></p> <span>"Hopefully we will know more about Chris Shuker and Nick Colgan this week as well".</span></p>
<span>BARNSLEY boss Andy Ritchie has hinted that Scarborough forward Michael Coulson could become the Reds first summer signing later this week.</span></p> <span>The 18-year-old enjoyed a very successful trial at Oakwell last season and looks poised to join up with the Reds on a permanent basis.</span></p> <span>Speaking exclusively to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk, Andy said: "Hopefully we will be able to sort everything out to sign Michael this week.</span></p> <span>"We will probably sort something out with Scarborough so they will loan a couple of our players for next season but hopefully things will be finalised soon".</span></p>
