Towd Richie ont radio after the match sounded as peeeeed off as the rest of us He sez, problem with the team was "lack of effort" He went on to say that it were that bad at Colchester he had asked them if they were knackered or summert He is looking at changing the team for the next match Thing is - who motivates the team? - whos responsibility is it to motivate the team? Nar then, I heard this week that Richie is considered by some in the game e.g. Ronnie Moore to be too much of a nice guy and a 'yes man' to be a football manager. If poor results continue we will soon find out if he is able to sort things out Lets hope that he can :S :S :S
Well, this has been the problem since Harts' reign. Good squad, but little effort given. Ritchie is intrinsically linked with Harts' regime which is why I feel it was the wrong decesion to appoint him. Yes, he is too nice. He belives in all the modern and plush aspects of the game. We needed Ronnie Moore IMHO, but we must get behind Ritchie...for now.
wish i could call upon that post i made about the players wanting him as manager "Andys great, we all want him as manager". My response was yes but once the honeymoon periods over and they have slipped into the comfort zone they will all become lathargic and not bothered. Thats why we needed a manager that would kick some butt! Mr Andy Ritchtea - wanna come round to mine for a cuppa! Shame really as i was hopeful we had a coupld of decent players to make a difference. Come on Andy - Sort it out! Crack the whip a little and make some changes! Stick the young uns in that have some heart!
If he stops wanting to be their mate and... trying to make sure they have "fun" he'll be okay The words playing and at it start springing to mind...
Why shouldn't the manager be questioned after just 2 weeks of the season? He didn't just start the job two weeks ago, he started it 6 months ago. If no one questions his tactics or team selections he may begin to think that there is nothing wrong with them and (IMHO) there is. I am obviously not alone! If he is proven to be right in the long run then I for one will be more than happy to concede that I was wrong but I will still have the right to voice my opinions, as will everyone else.
