BARNSLEY midfielder Jacob Burns will not be heading to Polish side Wisla Krakow unless the Reds receive a fee, according to boss Andy Ritchie.
Andy said this afternoon: "Jacob will be travelling back today and will be in the squad for tomorrow's match. I think we would have been out of order if we had denied him this chance. He has aspirations of going to the World Cup and has been told that he needs to be playing in the Championship or higher.
"We have to cover ourselves and if Wisla Krakow are not going to offer anything then Jacob will stay here. As much as I would like to help him get his chance in the World Cup he is needed here and unless we get some renumeration then he will not be going anywhere.
"It they are not prepared to give us a fee then that is no good to this football club. He could go on loan but that does not help us at all".
