RITCHIE PLEASED WITH TAMING OF THE TIGERS

"I thought in the first half we were very very good. I'm very pleased with that performance and I thought we restricted them well. In the second half they fielded a totally different side and I think that showed a bit in the first ten minutes and we were caught on the hop when they could have caused us some problems. We quickly sorted it out and I thought that once we did that we restricted them again and managed to score a goal ourselves through the lethal Robbie Williams. Robbie is always telling us he's got goals in him and he is proving it at the minute. Of course, he's playing a little bit further up the pitch and he's done very very well. We're really delighted for Scott Flinders with his international recognition. It was a conscious thing tonight to give Scott 90 minutes and on Saturday Nick Colgan will get 90 minutes as well. That's what both keepers wanted, they wanted that 90 minutes of concentration so we obliged with that tonight and it has worked ok. I've got most of the positions sorted in my mind now for the new season. Midfield is still a quandary for me and I'm still not totally sure of who is going to start in midfield. I've spoken to the players about that as well and tonight has told me a bit more about that. When we play Leeds at the weekend hopefully it'll make that clearer in my mind. We were very pleased with what we did tonight but it doesn't mean anything until we get out there on August the sixth and we repeat that performance and end up getting three points."
