When he said that he had the chance to sign a Prem Midfielder but turned it down because he didn't want to upset the team that was the death knell and something he will live to regret, as will the rest of us I fear.
    Ballacks!

    Bobby Hassell

Ritchie needs to take a bold decision and put Hassell straight in and drop, sorry to say it, Paul Reid.

I'd keep Howard on the left and put Devaney on the right, for first 45 anyway. and I'd start with Hayes and Nardiello. on current form, thats our best 11. is it good enough to win 6 out of 8? probably not.

6th is as good as 3rd.</p>

Dunno, there was nowt we could do about Burns leaving but we need to address that.Kay did alright on saturday, but he lacks Burns' composure.</p>

Just wonder if we have the collective minerals to withstand the pressure of the run-in and the play-offs.</p>

No slip out of the playoffs altogether I fear.
Day off last Monday after that dismal performance, struggling on Saturday and the toughest games coming up
Allowing Burns to go - oh aye, I can see Warnock doing that when his team are on the verge of promotion - allowing the best defensive midfielder to leave.
Not playing Nardy when all the strikers have had a run except him
    It stinks

Thats assuming Carbon doesnt disappear again

Reid and Hassell have played together and looked good. if we can just pick the same back 4 for that last 8 games, that'd be a start.

Carbon and Reid were awful in the 1st half at Brentford.

Despite being big guys they got totally out muscled by Owusu.</p>

    Austin must not be dropped.</p>

McPhail and Howard HAVE to stay fit.</p>

    Shuker has to be 'rested'</p>

From here on in I'd go with Kay in midfield (shudder). What he lacks on the ball he makes up for in ability to get at opposition players. That should allow McP time to pass it. Keep Howard on the left and rotate Shuker/Dev/MacParland as required.</p>

    Aye looks it.
No matter how positive you try to look at it you can't see it with the run of form we are having and some of the bottlers we have in the team

    Hassell and Carbon

would be my first choice. definately not Reid, Booth has been the only one who's made Kay look ordinary, in the home game, he won everything. also, Colgan being glued to his line doesnt help - he needs to practise for 2 weeks how to come out and claim the ball or nail the man.

McParland looked 100 times better than Shuker on setday

Is this the morning cuppa coffee, biscuit rant? Bloodyhell, anyone would think were fighting against relegation. Have you all got your hearts set on a automatic spot?

Doncaster will do us two great favours in the next 2 games by picking up 4/6 points. Theres a good chance Huddersfield and Swansea will fail to get all 3 points on Saturday. We will beat Bournemouth and everyones happy again.

    1. Southend 73
    2. Brentford 67
    3. Swansea 64
    4. Barnsley 64
    5. Huddersfield 64
    6. Colchester 63
    7. Oldham 61

    Saturday nights table. :)
