seems like truth about bfc may be that ritchie didnt want new players after all, didnt want to upset "his lads",if this was the case thats very worrying, a blind man could see this team were not good enough for the championship, appears to me that ritchie is as arrogant as hart was, another couple of successive defeats which are surlely coming, will i think, see him gone, who we wil get as a replacement god only knows
Yes, defeat at Crystal Palace, will be the last straw, Ritchies bewildering lack of transfer/loan acumen will cost him dear.
personally hope not becasaue i think we need stability at the club and even if we do go down i'd still like aR as manager, nobody can complain about the quality of football we have played at times and a few fans need a reality check!!
RE: personally hope not So dropping down to league one will ensure stability? I'm sorry, but relegation will just about kill this club off.
RE: personally hope not scary thing is ritchie still thinks this team can cut it in the championship and still persists in playing his favourites,i just dont want see bfc as the championships whipping boys which is happening fast
Also hope not. Playing much better football and with spirit. No question that new faces are needed to strengthen but is it AR's fault that we can't attract players as no funds?
RE: Also hope not. Story now is that funds are available. Don't want AR out, but relegation does not bring stability, as an aside to wathred
RE: personally hope not totally agree, get some cash spent and lets give ourselves a fighting chance to stay in this league cos we are down allready with our current squad
I mean what funds will GS release? What quality of player can we really afford IF we can attract them in the first place?
i think he is been harshly treated for been honest he said he would give them a chance and at the start knowone complained as things started well, however when things go bad granted for a perod of time he is man enough to admit we need new players yet gets slated for it on here by some, he could easily be more stubborn like previous managers!!! And in all fairness i think the starting 11 can cut it becasue we've beatn wolves (played them off the park), colchester and played wendy out of sight yet look how they are doing in the league but we lack consistency!! some fans need a reality check!!
agree to an extent but look at charlton and bolton as2 good examples, bolton survived last day of the season on there return to the prem and sam allerdyce could easily have been sacked when they were in relegation trouble, charlton went down learnt from there mstakes and until curbishly left have been a consistent prem side!! Both these managers could have faced the axe but clubs stuck with them for stabilty and it paid off. the reality is we could easily win 4 on the spin in the league and we are only 3 points from safety nobody said it would be easy but league position aside i can grumble at the entertainment the club has provided me this season and will nto grumble even if we go down!!
We all thought 4th from bottom would be success. And I still think that. However, I also think if we go down, we won't bounce straight back up; it may take years again...and I don't know if I can face all those league one grounds and Donny type football again.
RE: i think he is been harshly treated for been honest I understand your loyalty to AR, but, someone at the club is'nt being truthful, funds available, no funds available, Ritchie still believes this squad can hack it in this division, he is very much in the minority, this squad will go down, sure as eggs are eggs, without some shrewd managerial wheeling and dealing, his and the future of BFC is looking decidedly UNSTABLE, stability comes with a modicum of success, we are in the bottom 3 for a reason, the table does'nt give points for being unlucky.
again i agree to an extent now AR has never said funds are not availble but has admitted to missign targets due to finances i.e asking too much money e.g kaziem richrds £150k now AR said that they were asking too much money so that tells me that is about the funds available or he did not value him that highly?!?!?! take your pick? the only reason the club is unstable is because of our league position, AR contract, and players contracts. Sorting AR contract out is only the start of becoming STABLE as i never actually said we are at the minute but that it is the most important thing for the club! We can only speculate and i think fans sometimes look too much into what is been said and everything can have a different spin on it because no one knows the full truth and personally i think it should reamin within the club! To me it is obvous money is available but not a great deal again BOTH GS and AR have stated this so it is important that when it is spent it is so wisely!!!!
RE: personally hope not i agree disaster if he goes, they should sort out there differences like grown men.
