Anybody else not sure about him? Seems slow, sluggish and gets caught out of position often. He also likes to lump the ball up field, which usually results in it coming straight back.
Can see us trying to get him off the wage bill in the summer with Jay Mac and Foster to completely overhaul our defence and to lower the wage bill by getting rid of some top earners.
Probably the most dissapointing of Hill's signings And it should be pointed out, he came from a club which had just been relegated from the Premier League, i.e the experienced premier league signings most of our fans are/were calling for.
Didn't go yesterday But whenever I've seen him he's looked OK. Surprised he hasn't played more. Much prefer a back 4 that contains Foster, Edwards and McNulty at left back than Foster, McNulty and McEveley at left back.
Re: Didn't go yesterday I've always been reasonably impressed with him when I've seen him too and also think the defence looks better with him and Fozzy in the centre and McNulty on the left. I can't comment on yesterday but so far from what I have seen I think he's been a good signing.
Looks like a proper centre half - puts his head in, strong etc. Something we need sometimes. Just needs games. Had a cracking game away at West Ham and one of the best tackles I've seen in ages.
Its all horses for courses IMO. I do feel that Foster still warrants being here, but he hasnt had a good game in months. Id drop him personally. With Golbourne a shoe-in next weekend, Id like McNulty with Edwards, who thrives against big forwards (Zigic), wheras if we play a neat and tidy team, Id play Bob at center half, who can pick a pass and is comfier on the ball. Horses for courses. And lets put Davies central.
