Go on about (amongst other things) the website that has been set up to criticise him and gives the web address so that people can have a look at it.ff
Setting up a anti Rob Knowles website is very sad I don't know why you lot hate him so much, i can only think of one person that has a reason to dislike him. Everyone constantly slags him off, and as soon as he has a go back you lot get your knickers in a twist.
I can't believe he still works there. All the criticism has been fair but rather than try to smarten his act up he regularly uses the club's official media to thumb his nose at its paying customers.
I tend to agree with that also the news on the main website is a bit thin at the best of times, but thats no reason to vilify him.
Well.... how have you seen his program notes ? be great if its true because it will be free publicity for us and we are bound to end up with new members because of it. so stop guests from posting here and watch us get more members from 2moro thanks to mr knowles.
Well.......... 1. The Neutrino thing was despicable. 2. Maybe you don't know about his other covert activities and their consequences. 3. His spelling and grammar are embarrassing. 4. Many of us believe the website in general leaves a lot to be desired. 5. Each individual on here represents only himself. He should use the same medium to respond if he feels he has a case but when he uses the clubs official media to strike back against (generally wholly justified) criticism of his work he represents Barnsley Football Club and Gordon Shepherd.
Shame.... he wont go one better and mention the names of people he doesnt like. i mean i dont think it would bother people. if anything people would love the fact they have been mentioned in the club program.
I really can't see his problem with the website in question........ I think it shows him in quite a good light. Here have a look......
www.robknowlesishere.20fr.com
He's going to look a mug if he has put the address in the programme already.

RE: Shame.... I think the firm who have the deal with BFC to sell the programme would prefer it if its contributors acted professionally.
RE: Well.... Well it is true. I have the programme posted to me and it sometimes arrives on the day of the game. The one for tomorrow actually came this morning. It says: "Also, I managed to join the ranks of the uber-famous through 2005 and gained my own fan website. Well... it is more a website dedicated to hating me but still it was nice to know that someone somewhere took time and dedicated their energy to build it. If you do not believe me visit www.robkowlesishere.20fr.com and see for yourself."
RE: I really can't see his problem with the website in question........ Well he has. See my post above.
If we should be hammering anyone.... it should be Gordon Shepard, he employs Rob Knowles. If the content and standard of the website is poor and Rob is being allowed to use it to get back at fans who criticise him, Gordon should be giving him an hefty kick up the arse because he is presenting the wrong image for the club. The club should be nurturing fans and responding to criticism in a positive way that builds up a relationship of "we are all in this together" rather than taking the hump every time anyone disagrees with the party line.
RE: Well.......... If you don't like the website don't read it, vote with your feet. Some of the stuff i've read about the lad on here is childish, just a lad doing his job. He may not be the best journo in the world, but pulling him apart on here is not going to achieve anything.
That's the whole point of this site isn't it? Individuals venting their spleens, being childish if they like. What's wrong with using this board to respond? Do you think he should be using the club's official media?
Maybe he shouldn't be using the clubs website/programme But my original point was as soon as he has a dig back everyones in uproar. He probably feels very bitter towards quite a few posters on here after the **** that gets wrote about him, and Sheppard has had enough flack on here so i can't see him being that bothered about him using the official website/programme to have a go back.
Haven't seen the programme for ages. But if I'd got my own column in a publication, I'd be taking a few potshots. That said, I agree with Windy to the extent that the club's official news source/mouthpiece should not be doing it. He's either a journalist, or he's a columnist. He can't be both and maintain any sort of credibility.
RE: Haven't seen the programme for ages. A columnist sets out to be opinionated, self indulgent and controversial. A journalist is meant to be impartial and report only the facts.
But........... ...."the **** that gets wrote about him" is deserved and justified. He was the one sneaking about, he was the one who shopped Neutrino to the FA. And if he can't stand criticism of his shabby work on the official site then he shouldn't be in the job. We don't want our club represented to the world by a site that looks like it's been thrown together by a fifth former. You're acting like he's the injured party in much the same way as he is.
