Some Poor Performances tonight but his has to be THE worst He was awulf, worse than Saturday Steele was brilliant yet again
Doesn't surprise me, been saying it for some time now. I said all summer we need a new left back, a left footed one at that!
RE: But according to Davey we had a good one on trial and let him go.... nt "He would have gotten in the way of Luke Potter's development" - statement from the Messiah. If we signed Glele was it? Aswell as Thompson then we would have had much more compeition and cover. RB: Hassell, Kozluk, Foster. CB: Foster, Moore, Thompson, Potter, Hassell. LB: Kozluk, Glele, Potter. Would have had much more cover, and more depth too. Potter seems a good prospect but i don't see him jumping straight in right away do you? He's not called a 'development' player for nothing. A CB and a LB this summer was what we required in my opinion. Davey seem's to think we'll be fine with just the CB? (dunno)
I'd rather have a centre half than a new left back Potter and Kozluk can play left back. We despirately need a centre half though!
You'd be moaning if we'd signed him He'd only played one game for Cowdenbeath. Arer you trying to get into James G & SuperTyke's gang?
Seem to recall last year .... he also started badly and allegedly had a row with Davey after the Crewe debacle. I just wonder a) if he just struggles to get fit; b) he doesn't keep fit in the close season; c) he's spent three months on the ale! I hope he gets fit and starts to look the part. Potter will need to be brought on more slowly than being thrown in at the deep end.
RE: But according to Davey we had a good one on trial and let him go.... nt Wasn't Glele at a club? Therefore we'd have had to pay a fee for a (potentially) third choice left back.
RE: But according to Davey we had a good one on trial and let him go.... nt As well as having him on the pay-roll, and then having a moody player on our hands once he gets fed up of not getting enough first team opportunities. Be better off getting somebody in on loan, if and when we need them.
