There is a shortage of young English goalkeepers who are good in this country. So we go and sell our one on the cheap. Big club comes calling and we say their you go have him. God we are turning into a feeder club. Two kids have been signed so far and alot of experience has been lost. We still need another 6 players before the season starts. I would expect about 2 or 3 of them to be 30 plus. And they need to be brought in now to be given time to gel before the season.
How can you say we have been robbed, who in their right minds would pay over 1m for a kid who has only played a hand full of games at 1st team level. would u rather we kept him and waited 2 yrs till colgan left and then say now then scott here's your chance. Fallon played for england at youth level and we were all glad when we got a few k for him. 1m is a lot of money at the end of the day and can make a big difference to this club
