now a free agent, as waiting until august to start his new career in Australia. ...says he has been working hard at blackburn on his fitness Think he would be a great signing for us for a few month, would score and would give everyone a boost! to help us fight against relegation.

Good call.... at the very least he would give us a much neededlift...
and I know who i'd rather have coming on for the last 20 minutes if we needed a goal !!!

No harm in a four month contract being given to him. He would sell tickets, give us more publicity and our other strikers would learn from him in training.

A pal of mine knows him very well, he's a very wealthy man and would come for next to nowt just to stay involved... he certainlydoesn't need the money.. what harm would it do..

Is it official now? He's a North Queensland Fury player? The last I read he was still mulling it over.
He has signed in australia...but is available until august he doesnt go until august. As regards to wages, i dont think a 4 month contract would be that expensive. especially with pay as you play incentives
didn't know about him not going till August, i think he would appreciate the chance to get a few matches under his belt before he goes to Australia
When RF came to us he was grossly unfit. He was also too sharp thinking-wise for the players around him imo, making himself look a little daft on times with some of the things he tried. By the time he got himself fit, the others had got used to his play and he started to look decent. Very decent. Then he got injured. We sent him to Switzerland & the USA for operations and did everything we could for his rehabilitation - even had a machine brought over which could give him physio while he slept! His aim was fitness for the Cup Final. All the while on £20k+ per week. Mulled over a contract, giving every indication he was signing it, thanking us for the treatment he'd had and the patience. Said he wanted to repay us - and then went to Blackburn on the day he said he was signing it. Australia is not far enough as far as I'm concerned & whoever it was who posted that he's a wealthy man and wouldn't be concerned about the money - you obviously don't know him that well. Mercenary. End of.
The thing I've found about rich people like Robbie Fowler is that because they don't need the money they'll do anything for next to nowt. Millionaires up and down the country are all doing cleaning jobs for minimum wage. All rich people do it.
RE: The thing I've found about rich people like Robbie Fowler
Now you're just being silly...

I'll back that up Jay. The bloke that cleans our bogs at work arrives in a Bentley every day and has a solid gold toilet brush. He's very reliable.
Multi millionaire footballers are the same They all sign on to struggling unfashionable championship teams on pay as you play contracts. It's just what they do.
