Yes, I know - sacrilege! Five goals already though. If he carries on banging them in when the real business starts we could start to believe we have A Player on our hands. It's been obvious for a couple of years that he has the potential, not to mention a Banger-like shot on him. If he could develop into something like a cross between Glavin and Banks we could all be drooling about him in a few months time. Then again, these are only friendlies!
Good start though lads - keep it going

    Ronnie Glavin - who he?

I remember a bloke allegedly swindling the club out of money for the Academy pitches, but not as a player. did he play for us? when? did we win owt?

    Whats this about swindling money?

Is that why he was sacked?

This is were the word alledgedly works really well.

He was 'alledgedly' a bit of a womaniser when he played for us in the 80's don't know about swindling money though

    RE: I like him...

Liked him right from the start - he just needs a run in the team, some expert coaching and work on his fitness. He's certainly got the build to be a decent player. I'd rather have a couple of chunky looking characters like him in midfield than light weights like Nicky Wroe. That's not a criticism of Wroe as such - he might come good too. I hope he does, but he's not ready yet. I watched the Luton match again yesterday (from last April) and Wroe stood out for all the wrong reasons. Knocked off the ball, misplaced passes, inability to tackle. Then again, McPhail was much the same, apart from maybe one killer pass that set up the third goal. Still can't believe we won that game so easily?

    Neither can I...

we played well but I think Luton's attitude had a lot to do with the result

I think back to Swilsboro last season I think and Robbie came on for Tom...far far better and he banged a penalty in confidently

Be very careful. You are messing with special memories.
