couldn't have done anything with the free kick

If he had stayed or come for the ball it wouldn't have mattered because the free kick was so good it only needed a touch and it was a goal

RE: couldn't have done anything with the free kick

If he'd have stood on his line it would have been a comfortable save.

He could have come and caught it or punched

He'll probably be the first to admit he got it wrong!

RE: He could have come and caught it or punched..........dont think so

The cross was delivered accuratly and at speed into a crowded penalty area
He tried to get to it but was crowded out by his own players
If he had stayed on his line the speed of the ball into the box would only have needed a touch for it to zip passed him
So Green was in a no win situation on that one

Probably Green would be good for England but I prefer Kirkland (at Wigan) myself

He should have stayed on his line and caught the ball, since it very slowly dropped into the centre of the goal. Nonsense coming out for a cross that ends up about 10 yards out when its headed.

Ok - then leave it to the defenders!

If there were too many players then don't come - Green is similar to the keepers - not good enough for England though! If that would have been one of the current keepers they would have been slammed! </p>
