He as enough on organising defence, last night it was chaos,we will miss Conor Hourihane as much for his control of the team than his football, no descent ,no shouting at each other when he was in charge, organised everything so well never saw Scowen much, vocally when Conor was in charge, but last 2 games been shouting and carrying on,think he would be better as captain in midfield, Mawson struggled being captain from defence, let Roberts concentrate on getting defence set up
barnsley captain, barnsley manager, barnsley owner. that's what i want to see. how many other clubs can claim that?
Scowen has been shouting ever since he came here. He's like some kind of rabid dog at times. I wouldn't want him as the captain though, he is far too volatile and dare I say it, immature, to lead the team. He's good at what he does but just because somebody shouts a lot doesn't make them a leader
He actually one of the quietest in regards to communicating with team mates. Its the refs he gets vocal with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Taking the wolves game in isolation, the referees ineptitude would have been quickly pointed out by hourihane and hopefully stopped before it got to the unacceptable level it reached. On Tuesday night, Roberts was physically too far away to have any meaningful influence. I hate to put it like this as I find this part of the game vile but it's a large part of the captains job these days. I'd therefor give it to hammill or scowen. It also leaves Roberts alone to just be a cracking player for us.
Aye, but Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad Al Saud, certainly isn't from Manor Top. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
have you ever thought making him captain might be a clever manager tactic .... to encourage him to stay and sign a longer contract. read this http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/roberts-3544847.aspx I would wager that many would be well hacked off he were to leave the club, so the captaincy appointment may have been a shrewd tactical move by Hecky.
