To join Conor and James Bree sat on the bench? At nearly 27 if he's going to move at all it may as well be to a Prem side. We should try to offer the lad a year's extension and a decent wage rise as Saturday showed just how much he'd be missed. Then again if he gets offered what Conor did we all know the outcome.
Interesting this re value. Mawson went for decent money and was a better allround footballer than Roberts at the time, or at least more pleasing on the eye. Roberts is an absolute animal in the air though, and has also improved over the season. I think the club should be asking for more money if it comes to selling him. Of course I'd prefer if he stayed, but they all go eventually. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Lazy journalism I reckon. Roberts often linked with a move away, usually to a bigger club, and Villa have poached our last 2 decent players. 2+2=? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

He will be off for definite. We can't match whatever wages other clubs can offer. Local lad or not. Money talks. Sent from my iPhone using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
Totally agree and if he leaves in the right way, nobody can fault him. I'd expect that branch of clubs just outside of play offs chasing him (Derby, Norwich and Villa).
Well done to Marc and also the club. Summer close season will be the time to sell - when Hecky can bring someone else in. The 3 red lines. 1) The club gets a good price for the player. 2) The player is not sold to one of Barnsleys main competitors for supporters i.e. Leeds and Sheffield clubs. 3) The player is not sold when the club is in a relegation or promotion battle.
