    ............that although SD brought in a lot of quality players he had a problem in getting them to play as a team

    But no one can say that he didn't unearth some gems for Barnsley that cost 'relatively' next to nowt

    Long shot cheapo signings........there's forced to be some that dont make the grade

    .............but on the whole we have a much much better squad now than what we had

    Marc Richards and Wright as our main strikers..........FFS !!!

    But 3 of them you would have had. Mostto Peru international rigters and mifsud. They all got barnsley fans excited and if you say they didn't then i think you are lying. He also wonted to sign ward nyatanga and werling.

    - You want your scout to pick players who will fit into the team and work well - Davey seemed to be really good at picking goalkeepers but the further forwards up the pitch he went the worse his picks seemed

    It was nudgers picking Strikers as his example I was choosing - If he had given Keepers as an example as an improvement I would have been somewhat happier

    I'm assuming you're counting players like Macken, ADS, Nyatanga, Steele, Hammill etc twice?

    And adding in players like Teale, Whaley, Tininho who were only here for a month covering injuries is again, in my opinion, harsh.

    You're saying he's wasted money, he has (Mattis, Christensen, Mossto, ODJ) but I bet he's not spent £4 million in transfer fees in his 3 seasons. That's what Burnley spent last season alone. The majority of players he signed were on free transfers or less than 200k (Steele, Souza, Muller, Colace, JCR, Foster, Kozluk, Bogdanovich, Moore etc) - the only ones I can remember who cost more than 500k are Gray, ADS and Hume.

    Don't let that stop your gang though.
