Bobins record for his last 20 games in charge of us..... P: 20 W: 5 D: 7 L: 8 F: 24 A: 28 PTS: 22 Hill's record in his last 20 games in charge of us...... P: 20 W: 6 D: 1 L: 13 F: 27 A: 43 PTS: 19 So comparing both records under Hill we are...... 3 points worse off. 15 goals worse off. 12 worse off on the goal difference.
Robins lost Hammill, and signed McShane, Harewood amongst others to plug the gap left by injuries. We lost Vaz Te and Drinkwater to other clubs, and didn't have the luxury of signing players on the wages of McShane or Harewood. We've also got injuries this season to key players for worse than what we suffered last season. Still think neither manager is doing better than the other
It is a waste of time starting these threads because it only gives one side some ammo, then the other side start throwing injuries etc back. Waste of cyber space. Robins was dour and boring to watch, Hill is fooking nuts and at the moment even worse to watch, some good games earlier in the season, not as many as some will have you think though. Neither manager is as good as their followers think.
I agree that theres no point to the thread. So what if Robins had x number of wins and Hill has y? What does the statistic mean? Nothing. We might as well say Johnny McSeveney versus Hill.....It would still be testicles.... Judge a manager on his time at the club and what he achieves in the context of that time.... Was Jim Iley a good manager? Maybe he was even though he was a defensive sod and we were struggling at the time... Was Wilson a good manager? Maybe he was at the time with the resources he had. Was Ritchie a good manager?.......Each to their own I suppose
This is the most frustrating thing about this forum At what point today have I claimed to be a Hill follower? I'll give you a clue - never. What I don't understand is the complete hysteria around our current plight from certain people when there's some easy to understand rational behind why we're suffering. I'll think you'll find in this thread I said neither manager is better than the other yet, and in a previous thread I said our current manager has made some bizarre formation and team selections. Chuffing Nora!
Re: This is the most frustrating thing about this forum I think there are far less 'Keef is God' folk on here than people think. Just like there's a lot less '**** off Keef' folk on here too. Problem is, you've got to have a tag/side, otherwise those minor one or two that actually have a strong opinion don't feel like they belong.
Re: This is the most frustrating thing about this forum I just wish we weren't so bloody rubbish at the moment. Going to Barnsley matches is not an enjoyable pastime.
Re: This is the most frustrating thing about this forum Amen to that. I am often portrayed as a KK lover, just because I wanted him ere. I suppose I am tbh. But I have, and often do criticise him. But it must get lost in the ether... and I am, and always will be up his ring-piece. Which smells of oak btw
Have people forgotten that the club is going in a totally different direction........ ................this season Have people already forgotten why Robins is reported to have been sacked..........i.e. signing high wages journey men footballers..........there must have been 40 or 50 different players through the door under the management of Robins The club said at the begining of the season that Barnsley is a club that brings players in and develops them.........and also develop young players Keeeflicker is the best mangement team in this division for doing exactly this. If anyone thinks that the clock will be turned back to the Robins era then they should forget it
