Grant is an enigma, scorer of truly magnificent goals but an accident waiting to happen who would disappear in games too. Getting a decent fee and having cover for his position (if not the goals yet) means you won't find manyDale fans bemoaning this deal. Let's not forget, Grant asked for a transfer, no point in keeping him after that.

I heard it was 200k. He can't be as good as Daggers and COG!

When he handed in a transfer request, Keith said:

"hes not Carloz Tevez, he cant leave the country and go and play golf for a month"

"hes like everyone else at the football club, everybody is available for transfer at the right fee"

    100%

Blackpool really need to keep hold of Tom Ince.

They've got some exciting forwards again, Dale. I like Henderson in particular. Can't see Grant's departure having any kind of impact. Same goes for Grimes.
He's built a potentially decent squad this Summer, Keith. And a young one at that. Capable of doing well next season in League One. Because they're certain top 3 material this season.
Good stuff. Lovely club with proper supporters.

I'm willing to put £1,000 on Rochdale NOT finishing in the top half of League One next season :D

Done, Hogan, Eastham are the stand out signings for me.

Keith Hill couldn't finish top 3 in a league of 3 teams.

The bloke is a clown and I think people on here should let it go with the constant loving of him.

Come on Bryn. He ultimately failed here but let's not pretend he's incapable at that level. Take a look at their squad, then Sheff Utd's (division above) and tell me one is much better than t'other. Leagues One and Two are very much alike. Look at the 3 tiny clubs that got promoted last season - Yeovil, Donny and Bournemouth. Neither have a manager any better than Keith, and neither are any bigger than Rochdale as a club.
I think he was a lovely person a lot of the time, and we were gash in 2012. But he got a lot right and I expect he has learnt a lot and will get Dale back on an upward curve.

Keith Hill's interviews are Premier League, not League 2. In relation to football management, I reckon he's league 1.

You can't be using the donated monies, John. That's just not cricket. ;)

He talks about golf, car journeys to Cornwall, lasagne, swimming, egg on toast, Magaluf, sandwiches, terrorists etc. I just find him more interesting than other football managers.

Flicker is another manager I love listening to. It helps that he is a very good manager too.

He dressed like a Game Keeper and had lad banter. This was all it took for the older generation of Barnsley fans to become confused, and drive him out of the club.

It was his **** managerial record and general hatred for the town and townsfolk that drove him out of Oakwell

I had to come up with something that sounded better than "constantly having a go at the clubs fans".
