    He was given permission on Sunday to go for a four-week trial in Canada with a view to a permanent move to Toronto FC.

    &quot;He hasn't featured for us, there was no point in standing in his way,&quot; Barnsley boss Simon Davey commented.

    The former Arsenal trainee, who also played for Spurs, Coventry, QPR and Wolves, joined Barnsley in the summer after a successful trial.

    He started only a handful of games under Davey and his last appearance was in the FA Cup fourth round at Southend on January 25.

    Barnsley centre-back Dennis Souza left Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Burnley with four stitches in his face.

    The Brazilian suffered a gash but played on and completed the match. He was expected to train as usual today.

    Davey and his No 2, Ryan Kidd, were travelling to Wales this afternoon to watch Cardiff's Championship clash with West Brom.

    Ahead of that, Cardiff boss Dave Jones insisted his team would hold nothing back tonight.

    &quot;Saving players for different games does not work out,&quot; Jones stressed

    &quot;I have learned that you have to go out full pelt every time and then worry about the following game afterwards.

    &quot;You have to go for it every game. I have never done it any differently.&quot;

    &quot;The lads have talked about how we have a massive week coming up.

    &quot;We've got West Brom, the semi-final and then Ipswich as well. If we can get three wins, all of a sudden our season is going to take off.&quot;

    An extra 800 Wembley tickets went on sale at Oakwell this morning.

    Barnsley and Cardiff have sold out their 3 <div id="ds-mpu"></div>3,000 allocation for Sunday's game and were granted more by the FA.</div>

    Shame. Never got a proper chance and showed good glimpses of what he could do on the odd occasion we played him.

    Same with Kim Christenson, saw him around 3 times and each time he looked an handful who after a few games could have done something but never got the chance.

    After seeing him a few times for Spurs and Wolves in central midfield I think he could have filled in there. Certainly would have been better than any other option we have at the moment.

    Our loss will again be someone else’s gain though.

    maybe he should have been given a go in centre mid then - he was certainly crap as a left winger - I dont think i've seen him manage to get a single decent cross in - in about maybe 20 attempts

    I really cannot see him being a loss, he surely has ability (some), but simply cannot be arsed to put a shift in, and looks miles behind JCR, disco and Leon in quality
    </p>

    I won't be sad to see him go

    Me neither. He impressed me pre-season - he seemed really attack minded - pushing forward all the time but he's been a bit /poo since.
