...two footed challenge far worse than Hammill in intent. Yellow. That Rojo challenge footage should be the first exhibit in getting Hammill off a ban. Or in getting tonight's referee an appropriate ban. Otherwise footballing justice is laughable.
He did one the other week against Everton caught Gueye half way up the leg, no intent for the ball and got a yellow, not just last night but in general is a disgrace
90% of games I've seen at oakwell this season the officials have been abysmal I'm sure I'll see more terrible refereeing displays before end of season.
Not the same thing at all. he plays for Man Utd, its similar to the way the highway code doesn't apply to the majority of BMW and Audi drivers!
Re: Not the same thing at all. Don't even think that can be used as an excuse after watching that game. Awful refereeing decisions going both ways. Rojo straight red, Man U penalty missed and Man U's goal incorrectly ruled offside. All easy decisions and all 3 times the officials have messed up. Guess there's some comfort in the fact that even the prem has an awful standard of refereeing!
Re: Not the same thing at all. Problem is when a ref has a stinker in the prem. They do get punished. By being demoted to the championship and below. Which kind of gives us the *****. If they got more and more refs than needed (which shouldn't be hard now seen as TV etc has made it almost impossible to have a full programme of games on the same day) then refs should be punished by being suspended 2 or 3 games instead.
Re: Not the same thing at all. I've just sent an email to the fa asking why managers lose their jobs if the underperforming regularly, players lose theirs and people in ordinary jobs lose theirs if they are poor at their job but in my lifetime I don't recall a single professional referee being sacked. It's a job for life.
