I think most people can see what LJ is trying to achieve at Oakwell. Its very rare that a manager brings in a whole new team and they all just click (yes, yes I know some bloke called wilson brought 5 or 6 in, in 1997) but we are definitely going in the right direction and theres a lot to get excited about.

Still some causes for concern in that WHEN Winnall is injured we currently have no one else in his place. We still have no wingers or enough strikers or full backs.
I think our Mason has had his head turned by that pot of gold and wants to pursue his career in Everton or Villa Reserves for triple the money we can afford.

But we do have the nucleus of a very good team. Its a very young team and they will make mistakes.
But the important thing is we as fans are patient and give them our support. Not just when things are going well, but when they aren't.

Crawley is a brilliant inspired signing and we still have Williams to recover and come into the reckoning. Pearson is class, Rothwell looks very useful, Mawson looks a fantastic piece of business, Winnall is a proven goal scorer if he can stay fit, Hourihane is still in the picture, Scowen will i believe be one of the outstanding players in this league this season, We haven't seen the best of Wilkinson yet, but we will. This could be the season that Digby realises his potential. Bree has a lot to learn and we must be patient but another very promising lad for the future. Similar for young smudger.

But patience is the key. We aren't the finished article by any means but we are certainly getting there.

Well it all might not work out well.

And Crawley is a boy amongst men at the moment. I hope we don't have to play him irrespective of merit. He will get clogged but he twinkles. Sink or swim for him.

    But....

    George Smith is getting there.

That back 3 (or 5) looked capable.

Midfield we have more than enough options - not sure how we fit Conor in - if we can we're steaming!

Up front, if today is an indicator, we could do with someone like Simeon to suit our style rather than another standard big bloke. Wilko and Winnall and Watkins looked lively - let's do this division without a target man!

Run and pass through them - we did it today, and with Williams chucked in, owt could happen.

Though it might not all work out well.......

ha ha. Got to love old big head. Bless him.

Im pretty sure at the moment due to his defensive inabilities Connor H might not be top of LJ's first XI. Its up to him to prove his worth and what he can offer.
Its a good situation to be in.

LJ also likes his big number 9. At the lower levels they certainly seem to make a difference, But yes i would be in favour of seeing how we get on with two more orthodox strikers.

He's not trying to build anything.

He's already brought in 4 loanees. He's after a quick fix to get us back into the championship.

I hope it works but I'd prefer a different approach
