No doubt a few on here remember him? Where did he end up? And did we but him prior to Mick Prendergast coming to Oakwell for £14,000? :)

Played just 14 games for us between March and October 1977, scoring 5 goals. He seemed to make a good initial impact as a target man striker with a good pedigree, at least early in his career with Ipswich (35 games 14 goals); Watford (91 games 20 goals); Rotherham United (65 games 22 goals) and Grimsby (51 games 11 goals). Even more surprisingly was allowed to leave for Scnuthorpe United in October 1977, having established himself in the first team. This may have been a wise decision with the benefit of hindsight, as he played 48 games for The Iron, but only scored 6 goals. I have no idea where he went beyond there.

That's sad.... I remember his goal against Watford when we beat them 1-0. Elton John was in the Main Stand leading the chants of the Watford supporters. I reckon they had about 6/700 up for that game, which was bloody brill back in those days. Were we the first team to beat them that season?

Photos are all but packaged along with a few other tapes ar kid. It's best if i post them rather do all the scanning. Just two more shelves to go and then the parcel (or two) shall be en route :)
