    Just heard it on Radio Sheffield that he has an incurable form of blood cancer. Poor bloke, back in day he got loads of stick from us Reds fans, he was a good player too btw. So sad.

    We had a great rivalry with Rotherham back in the days that Ronnie wore his so called hat, great days for both teams.

    Took the stick from us with good grace and gave plenty back when he had the chance. Old school player. I've heard him say more than once on Radio Sheffield that he's still got the hat the Barnsley fans liked to sing about so much.:D:D:D

    Ronnie Moore seems like a genuinely decent bloke. Sincere best wishes to him. He was a great target man for the Millers and gave defences loads of problems. Not all opponents are wan.kers, regardless of headgear.

    Great bloke Ronnie Moore once met him at a charity do years ago, took time out to speak to people, everyday down to earth bloke who loves the game.

    Too true mate, he definitely took it in good taste. I always thought the Barnsley and Rotherham teams in them days were very similar. I.e. McCarthy/Stancliffe, Aylott/ Moore, Parker/ Seasman, Barraclough/ Towner, Chambers/Brechin etc. We were best side obviously as we had Banks and King Ronnie though.
