Is there any way of getting him back before the end of the season? The only way I can see is for us to take him on loan NOW whatever his condition. A possible altrenative but a bit of a wild one is for WBA to terminate his contract and we take him as a free agent.

Clutching at straws I know but have Messrs. Shepherd and Davey any better ideas?

The trouble with him at the moment is he's a long way from fitness, even if we get him on loan do we really want to be the team to get up to match speed only to see him leave when he's back to full ability, if we do get him in on loan early then something should be worked out now with WBA regarding a purchase price.

I think we have to move on from that.

I think signing Ronnie at this moment in time would look pretty desperate.
