    Woohoo I got one right!

    If only I could spell!

  7. Church Crookham

I know that area very well - mother in law used to live there in RAF married quarters when late husband was at Odiham. Now in Fleet.

    RE: Church Crookham

Moved from Oxford about four months ago. The missus now works in Guildford so it was for her benefit really.

Nice place to live. Pain in the arse to commute though!

  9. RE: Church Crookham

Don't envy you that commute (assuming you mean CC to Oxford every day?) I only have to put up with the nausea of bypassing Oxford twice a week (Friday afternoons and Monday mornings) but what a pain that is!! I thought once the Headington problem was sorted out it would be fine but even worse than that is the five mile stretch along the A40 from Wolvercote towards Witney. Stationary traffic both directions every week. 70 miles from Gloucester to RAF High Wycombe can take between 2 and 3 hours!!(banghead)

    RE: Church Crookham

The A40 is ridiculous. Best to avoid.

Luckily I only have to get to Abingdon so I come off the the A34 before all the trouble starts. It's still a hell of a drive though.

  11. RE: Church Crookham

Agreed! Why on earth they didn't extend that bit of dual carriageway from the western side to link up with the A40 the other side of Headington beats me. To funnel that much traffic through a single track road is ludicrous. I've tried several diversions but they just get clogged up as well. If I were brave enough I would buy a motor bike but I like a bit more heavy metal around me on the road!

    Congratulations!!!

You have just broken the "Johnny Babsa Boring Thread" record.

Expect your trophy, a bronze statue of a Scottish Spackmoid in an African dress, through the post.

    Nice work Gents.

  13. Why, is something else going on then??

    :pff

Did you see that dead cat under the bridge on the M1?
What is the best brand of toaster?

Not sure he is better than Howard/Togwell - more Shepard wanting to make a point if you ask me.

    RE: Yes.

    Hehe.

I was just trying to bring my post count up to a round 1200.

I had a really good post drafted about the Rich Tea debacle but my comp crashed.
    Back to roadwork banter.

It was black & white 2 weeks ago.

It's now a funny grey / brown colour.
I've been watching it decomposing with some interest.

    Eeehhh - that A34, eh.

    I'm 120 behind you.

    We're talking "post counts" now?
No fecker will win the "Johnny Babsa Boring Thread" award back from you boys.

    Knitting.
    That's what you two need.

  20. A34??? Nooo, A40 beats it every time

Sorry about the cat by the way. Have you been changing the flowers daily at the road side shrine?
