only prob will be his lack of match sharpness but i'd rather have a half fit rooney starting than defoe/crouch/whoever. i wunt use him as sub - starting with him will tell the opposition he is fit and put the shits up them

rooney should have won pfa player of year. he prob got more votes than gerrard but as there were no reasonable young player candidates they opted to give that to rooney
