Rory Fallon was back in at The County Ground and after an energetic day's training, STFC World spoke to the striker about the build-up to this weekend's League One kick-off. It was a busy summer for the player who, after a two-week break, began pre-pre-season training out in his native New Zealand. Having returned in good shape - Fallon has continued his work ethic into the new campaign. "Training was good. Reevesy put on a session today which was pretty good, it was nice to keep it nice and sharp after the game yesterday. I did a bit extra after training, some shooting practice and then went down to the gym at Cannons. "Millwall were a little lucky as two mistakes gave them the game. There were not many chances but those will come with the more we play together as a side. At one stage we were controlling possession but it was a useful exercise overall," said Fallon. The striker also spoke of the difference in training as the squad continue to build ahead of this weekend's big League One kick-off, something that Fallon will miss out on after being sent-off at Huddersfield Town towards the end of last season. "The intensity has stepped up that's for sure. There is a lot less running and we are now all focused on Barnsley. It is disappointing to miss out through suspension, but the players know what they will face. Barnsley fans are extremely passionate and give their all for the cause. It will be a tough game but everyone is looking forward to it." TO LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW IN FULL JUST LOG ONTO STFC WORLD. kind words from him an' all... unless by "passionate" he meant "many of them gave me dogs abuse for no reason". anyway, Rory Rory ra ra ra!!!!!!
He wouldn't be playing anyway ..... ... he's behind Thorpe and Cureton in the pecking order, despite Sam Parkin moving on, glad we got shut, he was crap and Swindon obviously realise it as well otherwise they would have replaced Parkin with him. He'll end up at a League 2 club for a season then in the Conference, at best
