He'll be quaking in his boots at this official reprimand. I think not! Suspended for 3 months, and after that it'll all be forgotten with Ross again building up his massive bank balance. Ross has had it coming. About 9 months ago on his Saturday morning Radio 2 show he was in the studio with a mate (a guest) & they were laughing and taking the piss about people with a leg deformity, who have to wear a built-up shoe. I was so sick of the pair of 'em I switched stations. I wish someone in the media could get hold of a transcript of this broadcast. I had hoped the BBC would have had the guts to give him the bullet.
You're right, it is a kop out. I havent heard the producer's name mentioned once there has been not one mention of the person who made the decision for this to go to air being held accountable. Only the person that we see has been blamed
The show's producer should have gone, pronto. The Controller of Radio 2's resigned. I want the show's producer AND Ross shown the door. The producer should have known that its content breached all the guidelines or rules of what's allowed, and stood up to Ross & Brand.
