I wasn't at the game, nor have i seen it on the telly. Is this in any way acccurate, or complete one-sided nonsense?

"I've just replayed it on crystal clear DVD and the facts are these:
As Watt heads the ball its going into the corner of the net with Cutler unlikely to get near it. A Barnsley player standing just in fornt of the post moves his arm outwards and clearly knocks the ball towards the centre of goal. It bounces just on the penalty area edge of the line where Cutler gathers it cleanly and drops on the goal line. No goal at this point. A Barnsley player then leans on Cutler trying to force him over the line and it can only be at this point that the assist ref think it might be over the line. Our favourite kitchen appliance is no where to be seen in any of the footage until Cutler is in a heap on the floor.
So, there's a handball (by Barnsley), a foul on the keeper (by Barnsley), the "ref's" so far away he can't tell whether its over the line or not and as Cutler's smoothered it and in a heap on the grass neither can the assist ref (who's 30 yds away). Therefore it MUST be a goal Trevor"

    Well, fact or fiction?

Linesman was pretty certain as he gave it straight away.

it was clearly a goal-there was a clear view from the East stand upper of the line then green grass then the ball-dEfinitely a goal-if your player hadn't crawled off at snail like pace there wouldn't have been so much stoppage time and so it's all your teams fault! FACT

oh and how come you have the only DVD recorder that makes a better copy than the original-on Sky-where do you get them from???

    Not only that ...

... but Williamson was clearly littering on his way off the pitch.

    He should have been arrested.
Or at least been given the mandatory £80 fine & be made to clear up the mess he left.

    Jackanory.

The ball was over the line when the goalie dropped on it to hide it and shuffled it forward. He attempted to deceive the officials.

    my view (east stand upper)

i was sitting in the east stand upper where it was clear that the ball was over the line. i actually hit hayes on the chest very cleary from my view aswell, but when i looked on the TV it wasn't so obvious...definate chest though.

also if you put the replay on slow motion it is really obvious the ball went over the line and the keeper tried to hide the fact...therefore devaney stamped on his legs.

also the linesman did give it straight away.

and the sendings off...watch on the TV...deon burton dived and there is no arguements, definite dive.

at the game i thought the second guy was unlucky...but after watching the TV replay it is obvious that he meant to "fall over" as soon shuker had turned inside him. just watch the way he dives into it, when you slip one foot stays on the floor, simple as that.

to be fair...if the rovrum fans are calling praise or grumble saying the battered us after that performance i'd like to see them on a bad day!

we were *****...they were god awful.
