Their fans seem to have a real chip on their shoulders these days, especially about being bigger/better than us. Just really, really struggling to see where they get these idea's from? Remind me very much of Rovers fans when they wa doing alright. Btw, didnt we help them out when they looked like going bust? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Never had a problem with Rotherham, always seemed to wish us well and see us more of a neighbour than a rival. Polar opposite to Doncaster in my opinion. Maybe it's the modern day "fan" with their short term memory who can't remember the bad days?
I like the Rotherham lot and it's good to be playing them again. It's Donny and Wednesday that are the pr*cks. Even the Donny board now speak of "the likes of Barnsley" like we're 2 leagues below them, they've been tin pot for 100 years. I'm just hoping last season was a flash in the pan for the piglets.
it seems to be a recent/modern thing where these fans are desperate to call their club massive and belittle any other clubs near them, it's bizarre. I couldn't give a toss if Wednesday are a bigger club than Barnsley or if Barnsley are bigger than Donny. Wat even makes you a big club? History, attendances, league positioning? No idea. I recently joined a Championship "banter" group on Facebook. Pretty much idiotic Geordies and Villa fans arguing over who was bigger while Leeds fans tried to jump in saying both were smaller than them. F*cking pointless.
Lol mmmm i remember the 70s....there was a lot of friendly banter going for drinky poos with the nice folk of Rotherham.....Not.....lol...... They were complete and utter 2hats......lol mind you we were worse...lol....
Their stadium is maintained regularly and they have a big screen scoreboard. Our stadium has signage up from 1993 with red paint over most of it to blank out the incorrect information and we've just installed a 42 inch rear projection TV as a scoreboard. I can see why they consider themselves more professional and bigger than us. Same goes for chesterfield, Sheffield united, Wednesday Doncaster and Leeds
Re: All together now Never heard a Rotherham fan say they were bigger than Barnsley. FA Cup win, season in Premier League, much more time in Championship/Old Division 2, stadium with 10,000 more seats = bigger than Rotherham.
You fail to mention that two of our stands holds more than their entire flatpack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like Rotherham, have a lot of friends who are Rotherham fans and have never heard their fans saying anything of the sort. None of this actually matters anyway.
