Difficult to say, a lot to do with how tricky it is and how long it will take. The materials are cheap (£4 a bag from B&Q) but the 'art' of plastering is expensive. We've had the whole house done over the years, but we knew someone who did it on the side so was relatively cheap. To compare, an average bedroom cost us £200 labour - materials cost me about £50, all 4 walls and ceiling. However at the time we were desperate to get it done and our normal guy couldn't fit it in for a month or so, so we got a firm in to price it up - they quoted us £500 all in...we waited.

As an aside I have a mate that bought a couple of houses to do up and sell, he knew how much plastering was, so took a course at college and learnt to plaster in 12 weeks, saved himself a fortune!!!

just had a conservatory built, the plasterer who did the walls left us his card as he does jobs on the side, i can pm you the number if you want, people who do work on the side are usually cheaper.

    Cost for a rough plasterer?

A few years ago I had a wall about 10ft long with a door in it plastered, it cost me £45.
