You know this Microsoft Antispy wotsit, mine works fine at work here, so I thought I'd download it at home too.
No problem, but I am getting a rather annoying set of pop-ups in the bottom right hand corner, generated by the M/Soft programme, which keep throwing up a green "allowable block" (or similar) pop-up which stay visible for a few seconds then slide away through the bottom. More often than not there are several of these green pop-ups which all fire up together then disappear one after the other.
If I've already allowed the particular piece of software through the Antispyware then I don't want to be constantly reminded that I've done so !
Have you any experience of this green pop-up, if so any ideas on how to stop them?
They're an annoyance more than anything.
Strangely enough the M/S antispy does not throw up these pop-ups on my pc at work.

Yes I am David - and it is annoying. There isn't a way to stop them as far as I know, but at least I'd rather see what's adding itself to my registry etc.. than not.

Now the good news - it's 6 months since my last reinstall...and I've stopped getting them - so I think you'll find they will stop eventually.

Make sure you have updated the programme on your home PC - it could be that you have an old version on there. Maybe it's the updates that stop it.

i have it working alongside norton

and i have only ever had alerts when i have installed a new piece of software etc and i run it for the first time.

Try going into options >> settings >> alerts and turning them off if you dont want to see them
