So, the date isn't finally revealed? It's just around about the 15th, 16th, and 17th August 2002.

Great stuff. It HAS to be the 16th August 2002 at 3.10pm...as we know from my position on the photos that it was FRIDAY.

    That's it then, confirmed.

    Happy now....

you cannot possible know that it was 3:10pm

im sorry roundsman but you just cannot know that it was specifically 3:10pm, 3pm to 3:30pm yes but you cannot be so sure it was exactly 3:10pm when it was 3 and a half years ago

    Another twist?

Shadows over Oakwell suggest much earlier in the day. Sun casting short shadows from the right hand side of the Ponty End.

Would suggest noon-ish, and if it was 16 August surely the posts would be up?

I can. Three buses and a train confirm this - they could be all early or late, but unlikely.

    RE: Another twist?

They played QPR on Saturday 17th. One thing is for sure, it's Friday, it's 3.10, it's August. 17 Blue buses at the tracky depot and your grass laying thread almost confirm it to be the 16th August. The question is, has Barnsley been composed of multiple images from the same day, but different times. I mean, it would have to be amazingly clear to get detailed shots of the whole region in one sweep. Milmoor for instance, has shadows suggesting it's a morning shot.

    RE: Another twist?

I think you've hit upon the point - I believe these are all satellite images, they will almost certainly be a composite of different days/times due to cloud cover etc.
So whilst you could pinpoint the date for one picture based upon something (e.g. the grass in Peel Sq) that doesn't mean that the other areas are the same time.
