Might be a stupid question, but does anyone know if the post seems to have caught up again or is there still a backlog? I only ask because I'm waiting on a few items that were ordered a few weeks back but haven't turned up yet

I'm looking to post something first class today and it HAS to arrive by Saturday or it's of no use, but I'm worried it might get lost/delayed unless I pay for guaranteed next day delivery

    Anyone in the know?

I send about 50 small packets with Royal Mail everyday and most arrive within a couple of days. But if you want it guaranteed there before Saturday send it Royal Mail special delivery. NOT Recorded.. All Recorded does is provide a signature at the other end where as Special Delivery is guaranteed next day before 1pm.

Remember to put enough compensation cover on the item if it's valuable. Normal compensation cover for Special delivery is £500-00

Do you know anything about this then??

Sister sent 2 parcels from Canada; one to our house, one to my mum's over 7 weeks ago, (with the aim of having them here for Christmas with a few weeks to spare). Neither arrived. Do we assume the problem is at the Canada end? (dunno)

each office could be different, at ours, they sent spare drivers just delivering parcels to clear it before xmas, year before it took weeks after, people were calling complaing about em been missing,
they were in the cages in the office as they wouldn't pay o/t to shift em!
and of course the matalan and holiday books ****** were more important eh!
id say, if it aint here now, it's lost somewhere......(or in a posty's house!!!!!)

    I'm still waiting for HMV

Two packages have been in the postal system for over a week now. I'm also waiting for nother item of post that I know has been sent.

I ordered some stuff from play at the same time and got that within a couple of days.

    Who knows what's happening....
