Ridiculous. Curry's was purely accidental yet he gets sent off. Argie player deliberately took out Ford well after ball had gone and stays.on field.
Lovely bit of drop goal kicking. We've not looked this good for a while. Backs against the wall stuff to be 3 down and a man down so early.
I find international football and rugby are unwatchable when England are involved. It used to be the case for cricket also but in recent times they’ve demonstrated that a positive attacking mentality is both successful and entertaining viewing at the same time.
I suppose it’s a bit like not enjoying a tactically perfect football game that ends 1-0 or 0-0 when down to ten early on. You either like it or you don’t - but I think this has been magnificent. I was at twickenham for the Fiji game. This is chalk and cheese in comparison. That was awful. Tonight is really, really good. Argentina are no mugs - they are world ranked higher than England - but we’ve made them look like it when a man short.
Amazing turnaround after a poor set of results leading up to this tournament. I was gripped by it from start to finish
Imho England showed the most amazing guts there...down to 14 after less than 10 mins but tackled like lions. Mitchell and Ford were emence , love to see 9 and 10 play like that. Outstanding defence and game management throughout and with the pumas in some ace form going into that game.
Not watched as not really a fan. But how can a victory with no tries be described as entertaining? Surely rugby should be about free flowing passing leading to tries. Just simply scoring penalty after penalty isn't interesting. I would guess most of the penalties were for offences incomprehensible to the average spectator too.
It might not be entertaining to the casual observer I agree, but it was 80 mins of backs against the wall nerve racking tension and hard brutality if you know what's going off..
