I would act as reserve driver, but we could always send him along the M62 in one of these..... http://feltonfleet.co.uk/images/art/calvi_boy_car,_small_web.JPG
As I said Scott, just what I heard as a rumour. I would LIKE this to happen......he has been truly woeful ALL SEASON and does not deserve a starting place in our XI.
Lol... Flicker can dream In the summer an number of championship clubs were interested... He may not be everyone's favourite player but he's better than league 2. Didn't Derby come sniffing in the summer. If anyone came in for him may be clougie at sheff u... Personally I would like to see him stay. His work rate is outstanding, his all round game isn't far off. But decision making resulting in gifting ball to opposition, often in key areas is a big big negative to his game. Surely this can be coached into him. With better decisions, confidence to take shots from edge of the box we would have a top player on our hands.
That's an arse on town hall steps kinda rumour. No way will a first team regular at championship level drop down to the 91st team in the country and one that could be non league by the spring.
Unless he knows his days at the championship club are numbered due to his lack of effort and the only person stupid enough to want such a lazy barsteward who constantly has a go at his teammates in their side is the man who is planning for life in the conference
Agreed that he's better than League 2.......but that's where our alignment ends mate. His work rate is not outstanding. Watch home, if he plays today, when he gifts ball to opposition, he never wins it back. His ability to tackle is also poor, which is something you need in your locker, when playing central midfield. Fergie at Manu Utd was an absolute master at knowing when players were "past it". I'm not saying I'm a master, in fact nowhere near, but I think Perkins best days are well and truly behind him and certainly not good enough here for championship survival. His performances this season have played a large part in our poor points tally.
That rumour has been doing the rounds on both the Bury and Rochdale forums. Ludicrous. He may not be our cup of tea at present, but League Two? Dunt be daft.
Perkins never had much skill and his only attribute was his workrate and tenacity. Sadly for whatever reason he has now lost that one attribute which renders him pretty much useless on the football pitch at this level
Fact he has been a first team regular this season, at BFC, does not make him a Championship midfielder. Yes, we've had some good performances form Perkins, last season and before.......BUT........this season he has been truly woeful. I would expect him to drop a division at some point very soon (hopefully not with BFC and it's another team). Remember this was a RUMOUR and not the gospel according to Pasta!
It's a rumour Whitey, that's all. But it's a rumour regarding one of our under-performing midfielders, where, given opportunity to move him on, I'm sure DW would do that and then strengthen. In the managerial position, I would look to do so.
