was it before anyone had heard of him?</p>

Deffo when he was unheard of. But the point in question here is the ability to spot talent. Scunny got the best deal. We got Wright.

Well, a bit more anyway.</p>

The option to sign Sharp from the Blunts is put to AR. AR says no, i'd rather have Tommy Wright, but he's just decided to join Blackpool on loan (31st August 2005 - deadline day). Hang on though, i've only got Nardi and Hayes though, I could do with someone else. Thats it Marc Richards - i'll sign him on a 6 month contract, he's available on a free and he'll come for peanuts too (Signed 31st August 2005 - deadline day). In the meantime Tommy may decide to come to us instead.</p>

Therefore the Sharp deal could have been quashed by AR, leaving him free to join Scunny instead.</p>

Just a thought, but im sure it all fits.</p>

 

the dates just do not match up

TW went on loan to blackpool 30/08/2005 sharp signed for sthorpe 16/08/2005, so we have a 2 week gap in between when we could have signed TW! Yet we waited until January?

To me it is obvious that TW was signed on his performances for Blackpool 6 goals in 10 starts!?

Personally I think it is a load of tosh!!!!!!

Managers are rated or slated on performances of players whilst at your club. No, I wouldn't have been happy with him spending £100k on an unknown quantity to start with - BUT I would rather see a player play for us before I slate him.</p>
