Where do all the rumour mongers go when the transfer window closes? Do they become negative fans full of criticism towards the team and club. I would like to think they could for once let the management team get on with the job they are paid to do. Opinions will also vary from person to person and this forum is for constructive discussions but I feel that at the moment there is as much negativity as there has ever been. You only have to look at the Aussie cricketer team and the Dutch and German national football teams to see that young players have to have time to blend and develop together. It can work .Not every pound will be spent wisely and recruitment mistakes will occur but such is life. We have to,as a club and supporters alike, get together and try our best. Let us supporters for once get behind the club, be positive for a change and smile. You never know, it could make all the difference. I expect some of you will disagree and reply accordingly, but remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.
The club have been very, very quiet over the last couple of weeks. Almost like a new season isn't just round the corner.
I suspect that the rumours are are reaction to the perceived lack of success in the transfer market this summer. I must confess that I too am impatient for more and better quality transfer activity and am also fairly unimpressed with the number of loan signings. However, I have never been tempted to make things up as a result. Neither would I resort to spreading unsubstantiated rumour that I have not put through one or two simple checks, the first of which being does the rumour stand up to a cursory mental examination. It is frustration, and frustrated individuals are destructive individuals.
But not as destructive as people who have power and are frustrated. That just ****s everyone and everything up
LJ and Hecky on the bench has seemingly given folk the green light to assume things. They might well be right to, I dunno. But the wall of silence isn't helping. Not heard a peep out of Mansford, Cryne, Watkins in the media all summer. And LJ's interviews are at odds with the ones he gave at the end of the season. So much has happened at the club since May that has definitely made it difficult not to assume things. I feel those at Oakwell are creating a negative atmosphere and some on this forum are only happy to feed off it. Nothing that a statement or two couldn't sort. And they all read the forum, don't you lads?
I aint assuming owt am thinking the power behind the throne gets frustrated and doesn`t see his decisions out.
If there is any dirty washing then it won't get washed in public. Hope there's not as LJ is just what we needed. Watch and wait.
