Here's my predictions for the teams currently in the top 6. I've to use head over heart, it's going to be very very tight I reckon but I have Pompey winning the league with us in 2nd spot just pipping Posh.
I keep doing the fishy predictor thing every few days at the minute. I’m trying not to but after every game I have another go. Link here for those bothered: https://thefishy.co.uk/calculator0.php?competition=3 After the Bolton game I did it where I only predict our results, so I guess their site predicts others’ and had us finishing 2nd. I do still think it will likely be playoffs for us but I’m not as convinced at that as I was a couple of months ago.
Personally think we will Lose at Charlton, different animal now and The Valley is seldom a lucky ground, Draw at Blackpool rather than win they've an exceptional home record but beat Cambridge at home taking 4pts from those games appose to 5pts. All about opinions of course, tell you what though Portsmouth have some very tough games if they start wobbling it will be a tough recovery, on paper we have the most favourable games.
Too early for talk like that, win the next game and chip away, many twists and turns to come, will go to the wire last game, last minute you reds
Still almost one-quarter of the season to go. Wayyyy too many games & points left to make an accurate prediction at this stage. Someone will slip up, someone will go on a season-defining run.... Having said that, I think we're destined for the playoffs.
Everyone is going to drop points in the run in. Undoubtedly injuries and suspensions will have an impact and the pressure will ramp up as May approaches. It's going to be fun and we're in the mix so lets be the 12th man and do our upmost - as supporters - to get the team in the top two. We've got all of the off season to moan and dissect
Interesting and who knows what is still to happen but the predictions in the grid above have Peterborough and Stevenage getting more points in the run-in than any of the top 4. Not necessarily saying it will be us but I`d have to think at least one of the current top 4 will sustain their season-long better average than these 2. Having said this I hope you`re right!
I’ve got Derby and Pompey top two and us third but goal difference could get us up to 2nd. If not it’s a play off semi against Stevenage and then I predict Bolton in the final which, of course, we will win
I've got Pompey and Posh as Top 2 with us joint 3rd on 91 (!) points. There's a long way to go. We've got 3 winnable games to come next so I would hope getting 9 points puts the others under some scoreboard pressure.
It’s worth a Wembley trip just to see that! It’s 1-1 in the 98th minute and we get a dodgy penalty. Herbie slams it into the roof of the net to win it and Evatt charges on to the pitch going berserk with the ref. Police escort needed to get him away
I hope you're right but it's going to take an incredible run to get to 93 points and I just don't see it happening. I reckon we will amass somewhere between 82-86 points which would still be a great achievement for Collins. I think Portsmouth will last the distance and win the league title (some on here have been saying for at least the last two months that they would fall away and they haven't) As the pressure mounts, particularly in the fight for the second automatic spot then I see us and the other teams dropping points. Whatever happens it's going to be an exciting run to the finish.
Surely would have to be Connell one of the smallest players out jumping Santos calmly nodding in and then Connell running upto their fans taking the route via Evatts fat head to celebrate, imagine the scenes
